GET TO KNOW BY EMMA.
A storyteller at heart, inspired by vibrant hues + texture, and the beauty of collaboration.
My creativity thrives in cozy corners filled with paints, candlelight, and soft music, while the birds sing outside. Grounded by faith, I believe that art, like life, is richer when shared.
I believe that beautiful things help us to better understand the heart of our Maker.
It all began when back in middle school when I got about 10 packs of canvases for Christmas. As my imagination burst with colors of endless possibility, I began painting them every which way. My hand dragged some of my mom's Sharpies she had lying around, as letters were formed and something NEW was created. At the time I called it exploration, but now I can see that it was, after all, art all along.
I quickly learned after creating these silly little doodles, that people actually wanted to buy them. Throughout my early teenage years, I started marketing off of my parents' Facebook accounts as family-friends placed custom orders. With the help of social media, most of my commissions came through direct messages. I was astounded by how many people wanted my handwriting on their wall - how could this be?!
In 2019, I officially launched Kind Hearted Creations, my first LLC. Over the past five years or so, I have been blessed with the chance to make this my "full-time job" throughout high school, and now college.
I have since rebranded my business into Art By Emma, LLC. My prayer for this platform is that it can be a personable and faith-filled place where you can find joy in my artwork.
Through this website, I have begun to broaden my horizons. It is my hope that “By Emma” can encompass all that I do. Create art in the studio, design graphics on my computer, and let the Holy Spirit move my hand as I try to keep up with writing prayers and reflections.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, my dreams, and my business. I wouldn't be where I am without you, and because of you, I get to do what I love every single day!
My name is Emma Ferrante & I’m a senior graphic design major @ Samford University in Birmingham. I was raised in Roswell, Georgia where my love of art first started.
I 💘 all things bright, colorful, & funky.
These preferences are likely explained by personality type Enneagram, 4w3,
a.k.a. the individualist,
a.k.a. the creative,
a.k.a., me.
That’s always been my passion: to display the world how I see it.
To pull from my rationally optimistic view on life, coupled with my personal relationship with Jesus, to paint a picture for you all.
(literally)
Growing up, my mom named me “Crafty Tornado”
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that this nickname could not be more accurate.
I really am a mess.
I like to throw things around, splatter in all directions.
Every day I fill my journal with pages of prayers, complaints, rants, hopes, & dreams handed over to the Lord. And as of right now, this is what He’s allowed me to do with all that mess.
He’s gifted me with the desire to leave things different than I found them.
To be honest with you, it’s not my desire to just beautify your daily life. Although I’m flattered when my customers love their new wall decor, that is not the end-goal for me.
I hope to leave every person who stumbles across my chaotic artwork with one thing:
The consideration that there is something (or someOne) bigger than themselves.
So here’s to my ever-changing, over-saturated, scatter-brained, splatter-painted, Spirit-filled, made-on-a-whim,
art.
I am eternally grateful that I have the space to express + explore the craziness that is twenty-one.
& I’m sure as heck glad that you’re all along for the ride!
Cheers✨🥂🎨
